Outside of the official boards, the one organization which still exists, seemingly unaltered inochieving the dual purpose of dedication to the Church life and offering companionship to its members in the many projects they undertake, is the old Ladies Aid, now re-named, the United Church Women. Following the Church service, a social was en= joyed in the Church Hall when entertainment was supplied by Cathy Stokes and Robin Smith, soloists with their own guitar accompaniment. SCHREIBER LEGION SHUFFLEBOARD CHAMPS Barbara Nesbitt and Earline Johnson emerged as | winners in an enthusiastically supported shuffleboard | tournament arranged by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Legion in Schreiber on October 17th. of Terrace Bay. Playing in the event were Yvonne LeClair, Stella | i Runners up were Jeanette Gunter and Dodie Bougie | | I Gususl, Dodie Bougie, Joyce Mercier, Ethel Boyd, Pdige Legacy and Jeanette Gunter, Terrace Bay; Bobbie Winters, Earline Johnson, Myra Holmes, Etta | Gray, Iris Lidkea, Chris Dunham, Ann Didurg, and Barbara Nesbitt, for Schreiber. The club was filled with supporters for the players, loudly backing them. Sandwiches, chili and ham- burgers were sold during the afternoon and evening and a dance ended the event.
