For the 24th consecutive year arrangements are made for Kimberly-Clark employees to purchase Canada Savings Bonds on a Payroll Savings Plan. In 1969, 315 employees purchased $153,950.00 of Bonds through the Payroll Savings Plan for an average purchase per buyer of $489.00. Twenty-five volunteer canvassers at the mill will contact employees in each crew to give everyone an opportunity to sign up for bonds. FALL AND WINTER BROCHURES Keep an eye open for Fall and Winter brochures which will be delivered door to door late this week or early next week. The brochures will outline the majority of activities that will be offered this win- ter as well as the proper contact persons for the or- ganizations. The brochures will also outline to a degree the changes which will be made to the mem- bership system on January 1st, 1970. THE "NEWS" UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Although the issue of October 8th was put out under the new Management, Tesera Ltd., papers concluding the sale of the Terrace Bay News Printing Plant were not signed until Tuesday, October 13th. The new owners plan no immediate change, either in format, or staff, although one new mem- ber has been added, Mr. L. Rowley who has taken up residence in Schreiber. Operated for the past decade by Mrs. |.R. Marsh, the paper has grown from an eight page mimeographed copy to its present standard. It is expected that under the new management further improvements will be noted. As she withdraws her association with the News, Mrs. Marsh acknowledges the support given to her by Kimberly-Clark Pulp & Paper Co. Ltd., those who advertised in the paper, the many individuals and organizations who used the printing facilities, the co-operation given to her by staff members and the many fine associa- tions she has enjoyed over the years. MINOR HOCKEY REGISTRATIONS Registration forms were circulated throught the schools last week.
