Organized late in 1949 to care for our literary needs, the Library is operated under the control of the Improvement District Trustees who are 2lso the members of the Public Library Board. Set up, to assist the Board, is an Advisory Committee, composed of voluntary members, whose biggest job is that of sceing that the proper type of literature finds its way onto the shelves at the Library. In 1951, Mrs, J. O, Shnunessy was Chairman of the Committee, ably assisted by Blenncr Pearson as Sceret- ary along with Rev. iL. F. Lavender, Pat Docling and Joe Heenan as Executive members. Serving on the 1952 Committee, are Joe Heennn n8 Chairmen, Eleanor Pearscn again as Secre- tary ond Pat Dooling and John Wade as memb- ers, H. C. Laundy represents the Imp. Dist. Trustees cn this Cormittee as an ex-officio member, Librarian's duties are in the very capable hands of Mrs, Ellen Hodgkiss.
