TEN PIN CH. TTER Willy [Gamo of the Royals was the hot- test man on the alleys last night. His 3 scratch score games of 179, 174 and 169 for a total of 522 were the best showing of the encounter, Willy's fine effort ensblelhis team to take the Mighty Engineers into camp to the tunc of 3 points. There was nothing at stake in this session, The Royals were ready, willing and able, whereas the Engin- cers were ready and able. The Firebugs, aided by Bill Day's scratch score of 189, trounced the 3rd Place Warehousemen for 3 points, Power-packed though they may be, the Over-Heads were no match for Scchesky's B B's. The sad part of the Over-Heads' def- eat lies in the fact that the B B's were forced to use a blind score through-out the series as cone of their boys was absent, By taking 4 points, the B B's have advanced in standing from 6th to a 2 way tie for 3rd spot. Honcurable mention this week goes to The Battling (formerly Struggling) Bears, who, aided by Hi-Man Veitch's seratch score of 398 for three, were able to hand a 3-1 defeat to Whitfield's Shift #1 trundlers. Pote Diduch of thc Shift #1 squad tossed in games 'of 135, 145 and 157 for a tobal scratch score of 437 but did not have suff- icient support from his team-mates until the last game when they out-matched the Bears by 15 pins for the only Shift # pcint of the evening.
