Some 75 Catholic laymen formed the first K. of C, Council in this area, which also takes in Marathon, Rossport and the North Shore of Lake Superior east of Nipigon. The local Council was named in tribute to most Rev. Bishop Edward Jennings, the Bishop-Elect of the newly formed diocese of Fort William, Officers of the new Council ere: Grand Knight, P. J. Syvitski,; Deputy Grand Knight, E. A. Marostica; Rec- ording Secretary, R. Cempbell; Financial Secretary, P. Guina; Treasurer, L. Bourke; Werden, R. Beaulieu; Chamcellor, F. Kelly; Inside Guard, R.
