This game was a strict knockout until the 9th end, when Marg's shot slipped the length of the board, went through a two point area, and landed on the left hand side of the three. This was the crucial point that cost Etta Gray the chance for the championship. Etta tried to knock it off, but missed it by a 1/4 of an inch. Marg then put an 8" long guard on it. Etta tried again, but missed, and Marg slid into the two point area, and clinched the title. Said a smiling Etta, "| gave it all | had, and that' the best anyone can do." 'Playing off for B event, were Earline Johnson and Barb Nesbitt. Earline won that easily on the 6th end. Prizes donated by merchants mostly all went to the Schreiber ladies. Lunch was served by the Ladies Auxiliary. Music was supplied by Howie Cook. As we said, the sport may never take such prom- inence as football, hockey, golf or baseball, out these competitors played every shot as if there were a World Title, or a huge money prize riding on it. A return bout will be played in the Schreiber branch Se Se so come out and join in the fun.
