Mr. Kolesar thanked the members of the department for taking time to attend the meeting. Mrs. M. Liebrock read the minutes of the last annual meeting. Arising from the minutes, a discus- sion took place about snow removal on the plaza. The weather report for Terrace Bay is being sent to the radio station, for broadcast on the six o'clock news, by the local Area office of Ontario Hydro. Reeve Cavanaugh had the honour of swearing in the new officers of the Chamber of Commerce for 1970, Oswald Fink, President and Rolly Sinotte, Vice- President. Mr... Kolesar, past president, thanked his past ex- ecutive and wished the new officers all success in the new year. Mrs. Liebrock read the correspondence, a letter to Mr. B. Lapenskie, Chief Ranger, Lands and Forests, regarding the former Kiwanis Club beach at the river mouth. Mr. Lapenskie advised that he had'contacted the District Forester in this regard, and will bring his answer to the Chamber of Commerce C.W.L. WILL SPONSOR NATIVE PRIEST IN KAND The regular monthly meeting of the St. Martin's Catholic Women's League took place on Sunday night in the Parish hall, preceded by the Rosary at 8 p.m. Prayers were led by Mrs. W. Corrigan, president, and Mrs. W. McKie read the scripture . A word of welcome was given to the members by Mrs. Corrigan. Mrs: L.
