JANUARY 15, 1970 AGUASABON GOLF NEWS The first meeting of the newly elected executive of the Aguasabon Golf Club, met Thursday, January 8th, with president-elect, Dan Rafalant, in the chair. The purpose of the meeting; was to name the newly form- ed committees and the comm- ittee chairman. In order to streamline the duties of the executive and to spread the duties on a more equi- table basis, the President has made some minor changes and the Committeees and their chairman are now as follows~- President - Dan Rafalant vice-president - Jim Rogers; treasurer - Neil Ross; secretary - Reg Cotton; Greens and house - Hec McLeod; tournaments - Dick Rattray; membership and training - Ray Hansen; rules and handicaps - Thor Olsen; entertainment - Rolly Gander and publicity and trophies Al Pattison. The "Open" tournament will traditionally be the responsibility of the vice- president. Junior golf will be headed by Bill Hanley. President Dan, expressed his optimism for a good year in 1970 and urged all Committee members to apply themselves diligently to their duties. The Aguasabon Golf Club also wished to express its thanks to local snowmobilers for resisting the urge to use the golf course fairways un- til such time as it was reas- onably covered with a blan- ket of snow.
