LEGION EXECUTIVE INSTALLED Wednesday and Saturday mornings ....- The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, Terrace Bay, held a joint installation with the Ladies Auxil- iary to the Legion, in December, at the Legion Hall. The meeting was opened at 7.30 by Comrade C. Koski. The colours were presented by J. Garriock and D. Gunter. Comrade C. Koski passed the gavel to Comrade J. Falzetta, who was the Installing Officer . The two new executives presented for installation by Comrade Garriock were as follows: - Sergeant at Arms - J. Garriock; Warden - Mae Mallais; Secretary - Ray Belliveau, Joyce Mercier; Treasurer - Paul Coupal, Pam Jones; Ist Vice Pres- ident - Pat Jones, Stella Gusul; 2nd Vice President Bill Kubjida, Dodie Bougie; Past President - oy Koski, Dorothy Coupal; President elect - George Churney, Dorothy Ballentine. Both ladies and men's committees were jointly installed. Closing remarks were made by both the new presidents-elect, Dorothy Ballentine and Comrade George Churney, who closed the meeting, follow- ing the retiring of the colours. LONG-TIME RESIDENT MRS. J. MARCELLA BURIED IN TERRACE BAY sa a eee Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Marcella, who passed away on December 29th, in the Terrace Bay Hospital, were held on January 2nd, in St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Marcella was born in Haileybury, Ontario, in 1903. She was married in Kirkland Lake, in 1935 to Joseph Marcella. They came to Terrace Bay in 1949, where she resided until her death. Mrs. Marcella was very active in her Church, and particularly in the Cath olic Women's League. She is surrvived by her hus- band Joe, sons, Richard, of Sarnia; Paul, Owen Sound; Joseph, Terrace Bay; a daughter, Laurie Mae of Toronto; as well as three sisters, one brother and seven grand children. Mrs. Marcella's body was brought to the Church on Thursday evening. The funeral mass took place Friday morning, at 11 a.m. There were four Priests officiating, Father Gvora, of St. Martin's, Father Gallagher and Father Carroll, of Thunder Bay, and § Father Cano of Schreiber.
