As representatives of the group of young adults, who return to Terrace Bay each year for the holiday season, we are pleading the following case. As everyone in town knows, there are only two places where the citizens may go to have a cup of coffee - the Snack Bar in the Recreation Centre and the Voyageur Restaurant. Both places have certain rules which we MUST follow in order to buy their commodities. For example, at the Voyageur Rest- aurant there is a rule stating that everyone, except- ing adults, must pay a cover charge of at least twenty-five cents in order to sit ata table. When we asked the manager whom he considered an adult he promptly replied "Anyone over forty-five". We don't feel it is necessary to point out how ridiculous this statement is. Of course it is very difficult to draw the line be- tween adolescents and adults, but we feel that once we go away to university or higher forms of education! or are out working for our living, we should be con- sidered as young adults and should therefore, be exempted from such a cover charge.
