Please give a serious thought to joining the Ladies' Curling Club. Our little town has so much to offer to help you pass the long winter pleasantly, but by being a member of the Curling Club, you are all set! 4 You are entitled to use the facilities of the Club at any time. Whether or not you take part in Friday night curling or week-end bonspiels, you are still welcome to join in on the Socials or come in and watch curling. Our Christmas Party is for "Members Only" and our New Years! Party is limited to out- siders - our members getting first chance at the tickets New and old members are most welcome. Just contact Dorothy Koski atthe Bank or Stella Gusul at Caccamo's and watch the paper for when the ic e is ready. We will start with a couple of nights of "Get Acquainted" curling before the schedule begins. Our meeting was held on the 14th and it was de- cided that the rinks would be drawn from a hat. Dues will remain as last year. These are to be paid before the first scheduled game. The draws will be Round Robin on Tuesday and Thursday nights. This promises to be a most exciting year. OCTOBER 23, 1969 DRESSWELL CLEANERS which will decide the Ontario Representative into the Dominion Playoffs in Calgary, also the O'Keefe | Mixed District Playoffs which will decide a winner from Northwestern Ontario to compete against Northern and- Southern Ontario for a berth in the Dominion. Spectators may have to be limited so it would be worth your while to become a member. TERRACE BAY LEGION PARADE The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 223 will hold their Remembrance Day Parade November 8th at 10.45.a.m. Assemble at Selkirk Ave. in front | of the Recreation Centre and Parade to the cenotaph} All organizations are welcome to participate in this | parade. NOTICE TO RESIDENTS A demonstration of the new Fire Fighting equip- ment has been arranged for 2 p.m., Saturday, October 25th, in the Public School playground area. Members of the Terrace Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade will operate the pumping units. The public are cordially invited to attend and inspect the equipment.
