HALONEN - HUARD NUPTIALS Autumn flowers adorned Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber on August 30 for the wedding of Margaret Rose Huard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Huard of Schreiber, and Patrick John Halonen, of Schreiber, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Halonen of Brooklin, Ontario. The mariage was solemnized by Father Epoch. Miss Brenda Lalonde was the organist and William Hancharek the soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was gowned in Chantilly Lace over peau de soie, with partially scooped neckline and iong tapered sleeves. The empire waistline was marked by a deep band with bows at the front and back. The skirt, with straight front, had a large gore inset in the back to form a train, and each seamwas marked with ruching ot peau de soie. Her shoulder length three tiar of tulle was caught to a tiara of Belgium brilliants and she carried a white prayer book holding an orchid. The bride was attended by her sisters - Miss Yvonne Huard as maid of honor and Miss Diane Huard as bridesmaid. They were gowned alike in sleeveless formals of chiffon over taffeta, with sheath skirts empire waistline and round necklines. A garland of appliqued flowers marked the high waistline, and completing their ensemble were sheer full length nn a BRIDE HONORED Mrs. Malcolm Boon whose marriage took place September 13th in Schreiber, was honored at a tea arranged in the United Church hull on September 26th. Receiving with the bride were her mother Mrs. Kenneth Crowhurst of the Lakehead, Mrs. Charles Boon, her husband§ mother, and Mrs. Jim Duggan.
