After considerable discussion, it was decided to retain the former Heron Bay school bus for education- al purposes. The Chairman and Director were empowered to attend a meeting called by the Minister of Education in Toronto. Several teachers were given permission to attend work-shops and conferences related to their subjects. Plans were outlined to hold a one day conference in Marathon to discuss the Hall-Dennis Report on Educational trends, on October 8th. All teachers in the division will participate, and the staffs of the separate schools will be invited to take part. A night school programme is being encouraged, and evening classes in various subjects will be offered in all high schools. Details and registration procedure will be advertised in the local papers.
