PTA FINAL MEETING Holy Angel's PTA will be having their final meet- . ing for the school term on Friday. May 23. The meet- ing will be original in for mat in that it will be held during a pot luck supper. The Singing Sisters of Northwestern Ontario will entertain after the supper meeting with songs which they have made popular during the past year. Annual elections will be-held during the meeting. The present executive will be hard to beat. « Admission of $1.00 is being charged per person and the proceeds will help the PTA fulfill their final comitments for June 1969. Come along and bring your favorite dish of food and your friends. IMPROMTU SPEECHES TAPED The grade eight students presented impromtu spee- ches in the line of fairy tales of one or two minutes in length. These speeches were taped at the time of the original presentations. The students themselves then each took his own speech from the tape and improved it to such a degree, in written form, that it was suitable for students in the primary grades to study as a fairy tale. The grade eight students are now working on thought provoking questions which the primary students will answer when they have finished listening to the taped stories. This will all be retpaed and the questions will - be included on the tape. | am sure the children in the younger grades will be just thrilled to hear their older brothers and sis- ters voices come to them over the taped lessons. - Colourful murals decorate the school halls at Holy Angel's. These murals depict the culture of peopleg in other lands. The murals' are the culmanation of a study completed by Mr. Speck and the Grade seven class. The countries of India, Holland and Hawaii are depicted in the pictures of the murals. cont'd page 14
