NOTICE Various groups and organizations in Terrace Bay appear to be laboring under the misconception that taking pictures is part of my work, and that film, flash bulbs, and developing are subsidized by the three newspapers to whom | submit the news. I should like to make it very clear that | have supplied my own films and flash bulbs and paid for my own devel oping and printing ever since | started Now | find it necessary to make a nominal charge of $1.50 per event, to help defray the expenses in- volved. | would also appreciate being given 24 hours not- ice prior f-any event | might be asked to attend. TERRACE BAY NEWS CUT FLOWERS AND POTTED PLANTS MARY'S Flower Shop SCHREIBER PHOWE ~ 824-2743 GOLF CLUB NEWS It appears from the turn out to date, that this year, Junior activities should play a prominent role at our local golf course. The interest and enthusiasm of these kids require constant promotion, with more frequent tournaments and competition. Unfortunately there are some boys who because of a lack of clubs will not be able to enjoy this great out door sport. The open air exercise plus the devel- opment of a clean healthy competitive spirit is worth immeasurably more than the small amount necessary for Junior enrollment. We are fortunate to have such a beautiful golf course with facilities second to none in Northwestern Ontario, and with people quite willing to give their time for promotion of Junior and Adult golf activities. Despite our fairly large membership the course is_ far from crowded. Unlike the cities where starting time is often a matter of hours of waiting" Hie}local golfers usually have no waiting time to contend with. This course was constucted for the entertainment of everyone in the district . The beauty and scenery of the course plus the fine fairways and greens are al- ways anWopen invitation to everyone. The driving range is now open and ball rentals are available at a reasonable cost. --_~ DISTRICT CONVENTION TO BE HELD IN LAKEHEA The Ladies Auxiliary to the Roya! Canadian.
