By co-incidence. the last hockey game he refereed, after officiating 12 years, was when Schreiber won the North Shore trophy this season. W.R.(Bill) Weaver, assistant mechanical supervisor in Schreiber has been promoted by the CPR to super- visor and transferred to White River, effective April Ist. Bill, serving the usual stint as call boy, began his service in the Car Dept. in 1941 and in 1967 was promoted to assistant mechanical supervisor . He is a native of Schreiber and a third generation railroader on this division. His grandfather Bob was a train conductor, his father Hubert a locomotive en- gineer (retired) and Bill going into still another de- } partment. Mrs.Weaver and their two daughters will _ remain in Schreiber until the end of the school year. Another daughter is completing nurses training in Port Arthur General Hospital .
