ROSSPORT Mildred Pric@e entertained members of the Rossport Five Hundred Card Club 'Wednesday evening. Winners were Camilla Legault, Joyce Yandon and Jo- sephine Gerow. Lunch was served in the Easter theme. Mrs. Mildred Price will spend the Easter weekend holiday with relatives in North Bay and Powassan. Mrs. C. W. Todesco has left to spend Easter with relatives in Webbwood and Sudbury. BE MLTR CRIED Regular monthly meeting of the Rossport Publie School Board Committee was held Sun- day in the school. All members and the secretary attended. The secretary was advised to notify the Director of the Lake Superior Regional School Board that Mrs. Price, teacher, has agreed to return in the fall for another year, and also the jani- tor and bus driver were re-en- gaged for the 1969-70 school 'year. Information on wages and teacher accommodation is also to be supplied. TERRACE BA The secretary received notice to take the census of the vil- lage. It was discussed, on recom- mendation of the hedlth inspec- tor, that the lights and top win- dows in the school be improved. Mac Nickhart of Azilda, Ont., visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yan- don and Mrs. Hattie Yandon during the week while en route from Winnipeg. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Hubelit of Wawa spent the weekend with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Hubelit. Mrs. Anna Moses is a patient 'in the Nipigon Memorial Hospi- tal. 'Mr. and Mrs. G. Graves have left for Aylmer, Ont. Herb Lif has returned from Port Arthur General Hospital. Edith Hubelit, Josephine Ge- row, Camilla Legault and Edith Spillett took part in the Terrace Bay annual Ladies Bonspiel over the weekend. Sister St. Timothy announced there will be Fa speakers at the next regular meeting, from Toronto, one of whom will be Mrs. Jean Trott, speaking abou the new concepts in schools. The two guests will remain for the workshop being held in Schreiber for teachers of surrounding districts. A donation of $15.00 was made to the Cancer Society. The room attendance prize was won by Miss Holmes' Class. Guest speakers for the evening were Dr. J.J. Malley, gynecologist, from the Lake- head who showed interesting slides on male and fem-| ale anatomy and physiology, explaining details as he went along. Father LaFreniere, also from the Lakehead, spoke on Sex Education and Family Life. A question and answer period followed the speakers . A visiting hour with lunch served followed the meet- ing. The town has installed a time clock, set for nine o'clock to act as a curfew. When the alarm sounds all boys and girls under the age of 16 are expected ta return home, unless accompanied by parent, guard- ian, or adult appointed by a parent or guardian and offenders will be dealt with accordingly.
