He returned with his family in July 1946 and they lived at Jackfish. He started work for the Company in December 1946 and moved to Terrace Bay in the fall of 1947. Jackfish was a thriving community in those days. Some of the other men who worked in Terrace Bay with their families living at Jackfish were John Falzetta, Mel Nicol and Art Parent. The men stayed in Terrace Bay during the week and would ride a frieght train to Jackfish after work on Saturday and do the same for the return trip. Al- though it was not unusual to have to walk from Jack- fish to be back for work on Monday! ! Gordon has always been an avid curler and fisher- man. He held every position on the Curling Club executive including President in 1953-54. When Lake Superior was a productive fishing spot, he spent all his fishing time catching those large sized trout. In more recent times he has concentrated on the inland lakes and streams. Gordon and his wife Jessie plan on living in Terrace Bay in their home at 179 Hudson Drive. They have one daughter, Pat, at home. Gordon plans to keep busy with the insurance business he has set up, his place of business being at home. But as Gordon and his wife are both enthus iastic about fishing it will not be unusual on a nice day to see a sign at 179 Hudson Drive which will read "Gone Fishing". To Gordon and Jessie best wishes for many retire- ment years. Dent teke chances! Be prepared for hezardous road condition: with our complete Safety Check-up. Stop in soon!
