Correspondence was read along with a letter from Mr. W. Megraw stating that the 2nd. Company of Girl Guides will be allowed to use the Boy Scout Hall one night per week. : Commissioner Shirley Caron attended the annual Commissioner Training and Executive Meeting in Port Arthur on November 8 and 9 for which she accounted briefly. A Guider workshop is being planned in Schreiber Reg. up to $32.95 Whitesand districts. Mrs. Dodie Bougie donated a frying pan to the Girl Guides. The meeting adjourned and lunch was served after which the Guiders met to discuss plans for the Christmas party. ND ire YF ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION LADIES MEET $$ eee eet MEET The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223 held a meeting at the Legion Hall on Sunday evening, November 24. Madame President Dorothy Coupal chaired the meeting. Secretary Dorothy Ballentine read the minutes and correspondence. Thank you notes were received from Mrs. A. Fedorak for her going away gift and from Terrace Bay Private Hospital for the television set, placed in the Women's Medical=Surgical ward. Treasurer Ethel Boyd read her report, asking for a motion that all accounts be paid. A yearly donation will be sent to the Christmas Tree Fund, to help the needy at Deer Lodge Hosp- ' ital, Winnipeg.
