PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS NOVEMBER 21, 1968 TERRACE BAY HIGH SCHOOL NEWS The Terrace Bay High School senior boys and sen- ior girls overpowered two opposing teams to capture ; the North Shore Volleyball titles on Saturday, Nov- ember 16th in the Terrace Bay High School gyme. The girls met the Wawa girls, eastern division $ _ champions with our girls taking the coveted trophy ! in two quick, action packed games. a -Chapleau boys gave our boys some trouble in the Z first game, but Terrace came back strong to win the second game. Terrace Bay took the lead 11 - 0 in the third game only to lose all the points because of a minor technicality on registering players, but our boys, determined to prove their sportsmanship and ability, and insistant about adding another trophy to our collection, used perfect plays and excellent spiking, to over come their opponents and win Amidst tears and smiles of happiness, our coach Mr. Ferguson, rose high over the others on the strong shoulders of the Terrace Bay teams. There was a good turnout of student supporters to ie share in the honors earned by our teams, but only 3 3 or 4 parents bothered to come to support their er a children and school. Lorraine Belliveau who spoke on Failure | In Education won the senior girls division while Albert Cadieux, whose theme was Communism, represented the senior boys. Cathy Graham topped the juniors with her speech on Radiocativity.
