-_ Terrace Bay Girls' Volleyball Team HOBO DANCE A SUCCESS The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, Terr Terrace Bay sponsored a very success- ful Box Social and Hobo Dance on Friday evening. Everyone enjoyed an evening of dancing and fun. There were many ingenious costumes shown. Music was supplied by George Churney and Hec MacLeod. The Box Lunches were decorated in varied hue by the ladies, and were awarded _prizes for originality as well as attrac tiveness. First prize went to Mrs. 'W. McKechnie, second to Mrs. D. Koski and third to Mrs. Erna Wood. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary are urged to attend the Remembrance 'Dat. Parade to be held this year on Saturday, November 9th, meeting at the Recreation Centre at 10.30 a.m. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Guides and Brownies held a meeting on October 28th in the basement of the Community Church. The meeting was chaired by Com- missioner Shirley Caron and was open- ed with the reading of the Guide prayer. POLICE REPORT During the past week the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, investigated four motor vehicle accidents, resulting in approximately $1,800. damage. From October 27th to November 2nd members of this Detachment patrolled |. 3,063 miles of highways and logged 208 working hours. There were four persons charged un- der the Highway Traffic Act, 16 per- sons warned and 36 vehicles given safety checks.
