PAGE 10 CLEMENS - HAMILTON NUPTIALS A blue and white theme was chosen by Janet Eva Clemens of Schreiber for her wedding on October 12th at 4 p.m. in St. Andrew's United Church, when she became the bride of Ronald William Hamilton of Schreiber. Pastel gladioli centred in blue formed a floral background and white satin bows marked the guest pews for the double ring ceremony at which Rev. E.C. Prinselaar officiated. Miss Donna Slater of Port Arthur was soloist and was accompanied at the organ by Miss Wendy Weaver of Schreiber. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Clemens of Schreiber and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.Q. Hamilton, Schreiber. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white peau de soie designed by herself. The empire bedice featured a bateau neckline and elbow-lenghth sleeves accented by a wide band of Alencon lace. Similar lace bor- dered the hem of the full-length skirt and the detachable train of peau de soie which fell softly from the waist. Her tiered bouffant veil of French illusion was caught by a white floral cluster and she carried a cascade of red roses and lily of the valley. The bride's only jewellry was pearl earrings, a gift from the groom. Miss Edith Clemens was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Clemens (Bothe sisters of the bride) and Miss Beverly Hamilton, groom's sister, all of Schreiber. They were attired in identically styled full length A-line gowns of royal blue velvet with Empire bodices, round neckline and short purred sleeves. Their headdresses were white satin bows trimmed with Alencon lace and they carried white lace fans trimmed with blue carnations and lily-of-the-valley. Elbow length gloves and shoes in white completed their en- sembles. The best man was George Hamilton of Renfrew, brother of the groom and ushers were Patrick Duggan and John Scott of Schrei ber. Following the ceremony, a wedding dimer was held in the United Church hall. W. Weaver was MC and a toast to the bride was given by her uncle, Mr. W. Miller of Fort William. The best man read messages of congratulations. For receiving at a reception and dance in the town Fall, the bride's mother chose a raspberry fortrel ensemble with matching feathered hat, white accessories and corsage of white carnations and lily-of-the-valley. The groom's mother wore e grey flannel cape suit, matching tam, black shoes, white bag and gloves. Her corsage was yellow roses. Pouring tea were Mesdames W. Lihou, W. Zaroski,(eunts of the bride) J.D. Bryson, J. Corbett. The wedding cake, made and but by the groom's mother, was served by June Small, Janice and Joyce Cluett. Miss Lora Cook of Toronto circulated the guest book. For a honeymoon to Duluth, the bride donned a two piece wool suit in hot pink, accesories were black and she wore a corsage of white carnations. The couple will reside at 131 Ruttan St. in Port Arthur. Prior to her marriage, the bride was entertained at a shower tea by friends in Schreiber; at a shower in Port Arthur given by Mrs. L. Hayne and Mrs. H. Heino, held in the latter's home. A rehearsal party was given by the groom's parents. The groom was honored at a stag party in the Schrei ber Curling Rink. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Madigan of Sudbury, Mr. and Mrs, A.J. Johnson of Orillia, Mr. and Mrs. G. Hamilton and family of Renfrew, Mr. Bruce Pellow and Mrs. Tom Cachagee of Chapleau, Mr. and Mrs. W. Deakins, Mr. H. Pogden of Wiarton; Mrs. W. Lihou, Diane, David Harvey, Miss Lora Cook of Toronto; Mrs. W. Zaroski, Gail and Jane, Mr. and Mrs. W. Miller and Cathy, Misses Patsy, ®renda and Carol Dimmery, Mr. and Mrs. I. Cocks, Mr. T. Harris officiated a ceremony held in St. Martin} -- of Tours Church in Terrace Bay at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, when Gail Grancis Dakin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Dakin of Terrace Bay became the bride of Mr. Clar- ; ence Gregory Koenig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Koenig of Fobt | William. 2 a White and Bronze mums adorned the Church altar and pews were designated with white bows. Soloist was Mrs. Crystal Gordon and the organist was Mrs. C. Simmer. Altar boys were Jack Cruickshank, John Vienneau, Michael Corrigan, and Peter Daskewytch. Ushers were Claude Rochon, Bob Oksanen, Paul Dakin, Jimmy Hagan and best man was Wayne Koenig. Ring bearer was Derek Nayduk of Kapuskasing. . The bride's slim styled gown was in Empire mode of white peau de soie. A full train wes made of scalloped nylon lace lined with nylon tulle. Her tiara headdress held a shoulder length nylon tulle veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Her bridal attendants were her sister Miss Judy Dak- in as maid of honor and bridesmaid Miss Claire Belliveau and Flower girl Kim Dakin. They wore identical gowns of blue brocade made in Princess style; white bow headdresses and 'they carried bouquets of yellow mums. Receiving at the reception held in the Moose Hall, the bride's mother wore an Aqua wool ensemble with button trim; brown hat and accessories and a pink corsage. The groom's ag mother chose a green nylon dress, silver hat and accessories | and ea yellow carnation corsage. Bs A toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. C. Koski and the | -- guest book was circulated by Judy Dakin. 'Mining Room hostess} was Mrs. T. Olsen and Master of Ceremonies was Mr. E.Belli= veau. Caterers for the affair were the Women of the Moose. -- A lace cloth covered tiie cride's table which held the three- tier wedding cake and a lighted church with miniature bride and groom by the door. Dance music was supplied by Stanley Spadoni and Tony Commisso. Ee Leaving for a honeymoon to Niagara Falls the bride donned | @ yellow and grey woold plaid cape suit with black accessor-- ies and white carnation corsage.
