RECREATION BRIEFS - By David Courtemanche Silk Screening Course - This course is scheduled to start this Thursday, October 24th at 7 p.m. in Meet- ing Room #3 (Craft Room) of the Recreation Centre, with Mr. J. Cumming as instructor. There will be six lessons of two hours each, once per week and an advance registration fee will be accepted on the first night. Recreation members will be required to pay $1.00 per session (or $3.00 in advance) and non- Recreation members $1.25 per session (or $3.75 in advance). Last minute registrations may be made by calling the Recreation Office - 3542 - and giving your name. Minor Hockey Registration Day- A registration day for Minor Hockey players will be held this coming Saturday between 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon in the large meeting room (Meeting Room #1) of the Rec- reation Centre. Registration forms may be picked up at the public and separate schools and high school students may pick theirs up at the Recreation Office. Be sure to come out Saturday morning and register! There were 7 persons charged under the High- way Traffic Act, 16 persons were warned and 58 vehicles given safety checks. From October 13 to. 19, 1968, members of this Detachment patrolled 3,319 miles of highways and logged 184 working hours. One liquor Control Act investigation resulted in two charges being laid. One theft of property valued less than $50 was investigated resulting in a charge. One car report- ed as stolen and recovered. One domestic complaint and three minor disturbances reported. M.
