En route home, Jack stopped off to visit his sister, Mrs. Nell Cooper. While there, his brother-in-law, Frank Cooper, passed away very suddently, with a heart attack. Peggy Wellings flew out to Saskatoon to attend the funeral services for Mr. Cooper and accompany Jack home. Peg and Jack visited Peg's sister, Bertie Lambden, at Delisle, Sask., her brother Stan and family in Winnipeg and also the Dalzells, former residents of Terrace Bay. Dot and Ozzie send back best wishes to all their old friends in Terrace Bay. Elva and Freddy McMillan with Brad, spent their holidays touring eastern Ontario. They visited Barb and Don Davey in Hamilton, Marie and Lew Edmunds in Brantford, and various relatives in Richmond Hill, Toronto, Sudbury and North Bay. LADIES AUXILIARY HOLDS MEETING The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 223, Terrace Bay, held their general meet- ing on September 29th, in the Legion Hall. Chaired by President Dorothy Coupal, the meet- ing was opened for business discussion. Four ladies were to be installed, but all could not attend, and will be installed at a later date. Secretary Dorothy Ballentine read the minutes of the last meeting, which were adopted. Treasurer Ethel Boyd read the treasurer's report, and a motion was passed that all accounts be paid.
