M.P.'S VISIT SCHREIBER LAST WEEK Schreiber was host to members of the Ontario Legislature. The party arrived by train around 4 p.m}. and walked to High School, after passing through a guard of honor made up of Public and Separate School children. Premier Robarts, Liberal leader Robert Nixon and N.D.P. Leader Donald MacDonald addressed the assembly at the High School . Members of the Terrace Bay council and their wives were present. PAGE 13 ESTHER NIEMI WEDS JOHN EDWARD RILEY ae | | | \ On Friday, August 30th, Esther Anna Niemi, daughter of Mrs. Oscar Niemi of Schreiber, became the bride of Mr. John Edward Riley of White River, in a ceremony held at 7 p.m. in St. Andrew's United Church in Schreiber. Officiating clergyman was Rev. E.C. Prinselaar. Jack Gordon presided at the organ and soloist was Mrs . Jack Gordon. The Bride was given in marriage by her brother Elmer. Her gown was made of chantilly lace and organza. The Empire styled bodice of lace with lily point sleeves and the sheath skirt was organza. A full length sleeveless coat had front panels of lace and a back panel of organza. Her chapel veil was held by a cluster of pearls and irridescents and she carried a cascade of red roses and shasta daisies . Matron of honor, Mrs. Neil Ross, sister of the bride, chose a sheath of lace of taffeta, with match- ing coat in turquoise chantilly lace. The front of th dress had scalloped edges trimmed with a rosette while the back formed a V with a bow of organza. Her headdress was a wedding ring of organza and she wore white satin slippers and white gloves. Her bouquet was white shasta daisies. For the reception in the town hall, Mrs. Niemi re ceived in a two piece silk worsted in blue, featuring jewelled braid-trimmed collar, two-toned blue petal hat and corsage of pink carnations. The groom's mother chose a peacock blue crepe with matching blue feather trimmed hot and corsage arnt encernenncmemraemtn . on page
