Spadoni gave the official welcome from Schreiber, referring to our long history in Cana- dian railroading. Dean J.M. Cano of Holy Angels' Catholic Church offered Grace. Reeve W.E. Cavan- augh of Terrace Bay, extended a warm invitation to visit his town and described its paper mill industry . He presented small favors to each tour member and told of the close relationship between Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Official welcomes from the Lodges were given by John Dejonge, J.D. Bryson, 1.0.O.F., and Mrs. Jean Fisher, of the Rebekahs. The director expressed appreciation of the planning and preparation which had obviously been done to prepare the banquet; adding that 12 years ago he had been one of the tour students. : Appreciation from the students was given by John Orr of Kelso, Washington, followed by a song by the students which mentioned in rhyme, every place visi- ted on their route so far. Serving at the banquet were Mesdames Jessie Mc- Canna, A. Farrow, Dora Weaver, Ilene Williamson, Beth Macadam, Earline Johnson, Mary Husband and Glorie Miller. SHARON O'BRIEN WEDS STEN LIF Yellow glads adorned the altar in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber on July 20t for the marriage of Sharon Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard O!Brien of Schreiber, and Sten Sture Lif of Cochenour, Ontario, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Lif of Rossport . Dean J.M. Cano officiated with Miss Brenda La- londe as organist and Giovanni Cebrario as soloist . Ushers were Paul Gauthier of Schreiber and Warren Piggott of Red Lake. Douglas Mitchell of Red Lake was the best man. The Bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in lace over organza, with A-line front and flaring panel of pleated lace and organza from a deeply pointed back waistline, accented by a shirred bow. The sleeves were long and the neckline scoop- ed. Her bouffant veil was held by a cluster of pearls and she carried a cascade of white glad tips. Her only ornament was a pearl necklace. The maid of honor, Miss Colleen Cosgrove, chose a sheath of pale yellow organza with empire bodice cap sleeves of shirred lace, and sweetheart bows marking the high waistline. She wore a halo veil and carried a bouquet of mauve mums. Junior brides maid, Mary Lynne O'Brien, sister of the Bride, wore a floor length frock of yellow chiffon, accented by four panels of lace with yoke and cap sleeves of lace She also had a halo veil, with sprigs of forget-me- nots, and carried a nosegay of mauve shasta mums. Following the ceremony, the wedding dinner was given in the Guild Hall when Mrs. W. Mullins was dining room hostess. Lorne McBride, uncle of the bride, gave the toast to the bride and groom, and Warren Piggott, M.C., read the many messages from relatives and friends, among them being one from the groom's uncle and aunt, Eric Lif, and Mrs. Knut Peterson of Stockholm, Sweden. The reception was held in the town hall when Mrs. O'Brien received in a white Cluny lace coachman style dress with ruching edging the three quarter length sleeves and marking the entire front from neck to hemline. The blue threads in the lace were accen | ted by her petal hat and accessories, and corsage of orange delight carnations. The groom's mother chose an Italian lace gown in deep pink with full length coat of Irish linen, and matching slippers. Her hat and accessories were in white and corsage of white glad tips. Mrs. Leo Bryar was table hostess for the reception. The wedding cake was 2
