TERRACE BAY NEWS SCHREIBER Mrs. J.D. McCoshen of Fort William is visiting her daughter Mrs. Hilary O'Brien. Colleen Devon of Eganville is the guest of her grandmother, Mrs. D. Godin, and visiting with other relatives here. Mrs. J. Ribout and daughter Marie, went to Mat- tawa to attend the funeral of the former's uncle. Mr. and Mrs. C. Duggan were in Port Arthur on Saturday to attend the 25th Wedding Anniversary party for Mr. and Mrs. Odin Paske. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lidkea and daughter Linda are on a camping trip in eastern Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hill and family are spending their holidays camping in this area and later visiting relations in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. G. Krause and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Lee, are camping on Bowman Island. Miss Sandy Kragero is home from Scarboro, Ontario visiting her parents . Miss Sharon O'Brien, whose marriage to Sten Lif takes place on July 20th, was honored by her friends at a shower tea arranged in the Anglican Church. Receiving with Sharon were her mother, Mrs. L. O' Brien, her fiancee's mother, Mrs. H. Lif and Colleen Cosgrove. The tea was poured by Mrs. R. McBride, Mrs. L. McBride, Mrs. H. Duggan and Mrs. E. Ger- servitors were the Misses Linda Power, Edie Relph, Bein Ross, Monica Gauthier, Janie Duggan and H. O'Brien, A. Cosgrove, M. Ryan and A. Major. Mrs. M. Welsh attended the gift table and the guest book was circulated by Mary Lynn O'Brien and Max- ine Holland. Mr. and Mrs. D'Arcy McGuire and family have gone to spend their holidays with relatives in points in Southern Ontario and on St. Joseph's Island. Mr. and Mrs. R. McBride have the latter's nephew and his wife - Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Johnson, of Ansonville, visiting them. Miss Viola Sheardown of Willowdale, is the guest League cookbook . Mrs. D. Cosgrove, with Robin and William, of Toronto, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. A. Cosgrove Adrian Belanger of North-Bay is at Walker Lake with Jimmy Clavelle. Mrs. Baden Plummer of Toronto is visiting her sister Mrs. H. Jewell, and other relations. family, and will not return to Downsview hospital in ow. Mrs. W. Mullins was dining room hostess and the Cath LeBlanc. Replenishing were Mesdames J. Power of Mrs. W. McLellan, their daughter Cathy and Miss Elma Haapa, flew out to Duncan, B.C. to visit Mr. and Mrs. R. Lindberg (Patsy McLellan) and Mr. and Mrs. G. McLellan. Mrs. 1. Teresa Ribout, Judy Parent, Cheryl Karns, and Sharon Scott have enjoyed a ten day camp with other Girl Guides at Three Finger Lake near Marathon. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard O'Brien will hold an open reception on July 20 in the town hall from 8 - 11 p.m in honor of their daughter Sharon, whose marriage to Sten Lif takes place on that day. Mrs. D. Peppiatt and her father, James Smith of Toronto, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. N. Smith - the two men being brothers. Gerard-Cosgrove has returned from Calgary where' he was visiting his sister Mrs. Harold Sylvan and Toronto for further treatment. Mrs. H. Spikula and Pamela are visiting Mrs. S. Moffatt in Owen Sound and Mrs. B. Hass in Hamilton Mrs. Peter Kachur, nee Marilyn Pearson, whose marriage took place in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, on July 28th was honored by her Schreiber friends at a shower tea arranged in the Guild Hall on July 13th. Mrs. Kachur was assisted in receiving by her mother Mrs. C. Pearson and Miss Doris McParland. The tea was poured by Mrs. W. Paradis, and Mrs. W. Wilson, Mrs. J. Handel and Mrs. B. Parais - all aunts of the bride. The servitors were the Misses Jeanne McCuaig, Daryl Lynn Weaver, Joyce Cluet, Norma McLellan, Karen Lidkea, Martie Plank, Mes- dames Earl Welbourne, J. Gordon, and M. Morgan, with Mrs. B. Harper as table hostess. Replenishing were Mesdames W. Lidkea, Hilary, L. O'Brien, C. Duggan and W. Furlonger. The gift table was attend ed by the Misses Jewell Paradis, Sharon Jarva and Heather Graham, and the guest book was circulated by Janice Paradis and Kelly McParland. Visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Boon, while here to attend the Norman Boon - Lynne Moore Moores wedding, were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Boon and family of Timmins and Mr. gnd Mrs. John Gauthier and family of Folyet.
