Northwestern Ontario Competitive Swimming Clinic Don't forget the Swimming Clinic scheduled to be held in Terrace Bay on Saturday and Sunday, July 6t and 7th, starting at 9a.m. (E.D.T.) on Saturday, July 6th, in meeting room no. 1 of the Recreation Centre. If you are interested in registering for this clinic, please call the Recreation Office. There will be a small registration fee charged for this Clinic. The bottom photo shows Mrs. Coupal presenting the Legion Award to Linda Pelto, another grade 8 stud- ent. _TERRACE BAY HIGH SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT Air Vice Marshal D.A.R. Bradshaw, D.F.C.,CD, was the guest speaker at Commencement Exercises which took place in the Terrace Bay High School on Monday evening, June 24th. Commencement open- ed with the Processional of Graduates, who took their place on the platform. Miss Joanne Brown led in the singing of O Canada with Mrs. C. Simmer at the piano. Rev. T.G. Husser gave the Invocation. Chairman W.W. Rowsome, Principal of the High School, introduced the honoured guests on the plat- form. He spoke a few words to the graduating class. Councillor Roy Bray offered congratulations from tho Township of Terrace Bay. Mr. Rowsome introduced Air Vice Marshal Brad- shaw, who gave the Address. Joanne Brown, ac- companied by Mrs. Simmer, gave a vocal solo. Mr. W. Farrell, Chairman of the Board, spoke briefly. Mr. J. Ferrier, Manager of Kimberly-Clark) congratulated the graduating class, on achieving their goal . The Proficiency Awards were made by Air Vice Marshal Bradshaw. Grade nine was won by Claud- ette Boudreau, Grade ten by Lorraine Belliveau, Grade eleven by Susan Graham, and Grade 12 by Ted Petrus, as shown in the photo below by Marg Lundberg, from left to right.
