Gold Cord, the highest award given in 'Guiding. Guests were welcomed by District Commis-) sioner Mrs. G. Caron and Area Commissioner Mrs .D Carroll. In charge of the ceremony. was Captain Connie Cvitkovich, who read the Candle light ceremony . The candles were held by Marilyn Kujbida, Georgina Caron, Mona Caron and Leslie Thempson. Cathy -- Belliveau carried the Gold Cord, and presented it to Mrs Carroll, who in turn, removed Lorraine's All Round Cord, and gave the Gold Cord to Mrs. Belli- veau, Lorraine's mother, to put on her daughter. Lorraine presented her mother with a corsage of red roses. Lorraine was then presented with numerous gifts from the two Guide companies, the Local Assoc- iation to Guides and Brownies and friends . The ceremony ended with the singing of the Guide taps . Following the ceremony, a cold plate was served to the guests, in the dining room.
