To particularly mark the oc- casion, the Brownies were told they had permission to wear 'their uniforms to schoo] the fol- lowing day and were reminded June 22 is Brownie Sunday, and uniforms should be worn to church. Donna Gellert said the Brownie prayer and this was followed by the audience joining the girls in reciting the Lord's- Prayer, The Brownies gave their grand howl and sang several of their favorite action songs. Lunch was served by the Six- ers and seconders, Other lead- - ers working the occasion were Tawny Owls Mesdames Jackie Bromley, Agnes Dietrich, June Sisson, Audrey McKay, and Packy Dale Sisson. It was a gala occasion for the 19 girls, wearing leis, flowers in their hair and grass skirts, who were inducted recently in the Schreiber First and Second Browwie packs, against a back- ground of palm trees and Ha- waiian music. After being received the new Brownies delighted the large au- dience by giving a very good version of the Hula. The girls. included Erin Bourke, Berna- dette Cardiff, Eva Eusebi, Mary Jane Twigg, Diane Diet- rich, Shelby Kirkpatrick, Karen. Niiranen Yellow and white Gladioli adorned the altar in Holy Angel Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber, June 15, for the wedding of Crystal Catherine Kusik, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Stanley Kusik and John Arthur Gordon, son of Mr.and Mrs. Alex Gordon all of Schreiber. The double ring ceremony took place at three in the after noon with both Rev. J.M.Cano, parish priest, and Rev. E. C. Prinselaar of St.Andrew's United Church, officieting. Miss Anna Fummerton was organist and Giovanni Cebrerio the soloist. Ushers were Fred McColeman and Philip Moorey. Bruce Gordon was best man and the groomsmen were Larry Kusik and Clyde Gordon. The. bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white Lagoda Crepe enhanced by embroidered Alencon lace trimming the high empire waistline and scooped neckline. The unusual short sleeves featured matching lace trim as did the front of the A-Line skirt. The full matching train of Lagoda Crepe fell softly from the shoulders. Her full length veil of nylon tulle was caught to a pearl tiara and she carried @ cascade bouquet of yellow roses with myrtle. Her only or- nament was a gold chain with diamond centered cross, a gift from the groom. , : Mrs. Victor Costa was Matron of Honor, Miss Neldine West the Maid of Honor and Miss Laureen Kusik the junior brides- maid. The senior attendants were gowned alike in sleeve- less dresses of nylon chiffon over nylon crepe featuring scooped necklines with petals of the same material trimming the empire waistlines. The junior bridesmaid's dress wes peau de soie in similar style. All the gowns were yellow, complemented by white elbow length gloves and shoes. They wore crosses and earrings, the gifts of the bride and their headdresses were yellow rosettes with fly-away veils. They carried nosegays of white carnations (Continued page 10)..
