Our own corp - the NLWC Prin- cess Alice, won the 1967 proficiency shield in com- petition with other corps all across Ontario, and placed third in the across Canada competition. The girls and their officers are working very hard to move even higher in the cross Canada competition this year. A Trophy went to Joyce Benko - Best All Round Wrenette and a new trophy donated by the Branch 223, Royal Canadian Legion, was presented by Leg- ion president, P. Jones to Best New Wrenette, Joy Yates. Presentation of Merit Badges preceded a little ceremony, when Linda Pidluzny, Chief Petty Offic- er of the Corps, presented a gift to former C.O. Mrs. Betty O.Neil, who helped organize the corps.
