PAGE 7. GUIDE AND BROWNIE WORLD The Ist Terrace Bay Brownie Pack presented a Golden Bar to Faye Sutherland. House Orderly badges were presented to Norma Phillips and Kelly McKie. On May 11, Pack 2 hiked out to the Dam for a weiner roast and enjoyed an afternoon of games and looking for natural objects. Pack 3 welcomed Brenda Cornfield as a new Twee nie. Second year service stars were presented to Diane Coupal and Lori Schritt. Two Brownie badges were presented to Lori McBride - writers, and Louise Desrosiers - skating. The Brownies went on a short nature walk and recorded colors, shapes, textures, movements and sounds. The entire Pack was delight ed to see Tawny Owl Cadieux presented with her fifth year service star. The Ist Terrace Bay Guide Co. wishes to thank Mrs. C. Smith who passed four Guides on their Hostess Badges. - Veronica Hermes and Sheila Bal- lentine worked at the Isle Smith Birthday party at which nine girls were present. Nora Mikus and Cathy Burns worked at Lona Smith's party under the supervision of Claudette Stevens, who holds this badge. Bautilier and Mrs. R. Roberts, Brown Guid ers and Mrs. A. Cvitkovich, Blue Guiders attended the Area Pre-Camp Training Weekend at Polly Lake. Our Guiders, together with others from throughout the Area enjoyed an interesting and informative week end, bringing abck with them many new ideas, games hobbies, etc. Mrs. Cynthia Briggs A.C.A. of Atikok an was in charge of the Blu training while Mrs. May O'Brien A,T.C. of Fort William assisted by Mrs. Gail Hall of Port Arthur, organized the Brown training pro- gram. While there, the Guiders had the privilege of ob- serving a group of Guides from Geraldton under the leadership of a Ranger who was earning her Camper's Badge. It is the hope of the Guiders to arrange bet- ter opportunities for Guides and Brownies of our own area to attend summer camps. All Guiders, Guides and Brownies wish to express appreciation to all those who worked so hard to make the Guide and Brownie Banquet such a big success. For a a voice DOUE SIV.
