TERRACE BA TENNIS CLINIC HELO LOCALLY 1S SUCCESFUL A very successful Tennis Clinic was held in Terrace Bay' under the direction of Fd Brandreth, club pro- fessional with the Hamilton Thistle Club, who is touring throughout Northern Ontario. Students of St. Martin's Separate School-and the Public School took part in the afternoon sessions, and adults attend ed in the evening. : The clinic-is sponsored by the Community Programs | Division of the Ontario Dept. of Education, and the Ontario Lawn Tennis Association, in co-operation with the Terrace Bay Recreation Association. WANTS POLICE REPORT PUBLISHED , At the May meeting of Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce held on May 16th in the Curling Lounge, a report was given on the film presented by the Voyageurs. At the afternoon presentation, elemen- tary school children attended and found it an engros sing show. Those who attended in the evening also enjoyed the film and narrative but, unfortunately not too many turned out. A committee was formed to make the annual Town Tour in company with township representative and suggestion will be made regarding property clean-up and improvements . ; Committees were also arranged to check the femc- ing at the Aquasabon Gorge and to work with the fi Historic Site Board on site and ceremonies when dedicating a plaque to the glacial terraces. It is hoped that a rest area may be established at the site. President, D. Rafalant reported sending ap- proximately 2,000 brochures and his plans to dis- tribute others. Members felt there is urgent need for some specifr ic action in dealing with law-breakers in the com- munity.
