Penner will be in Geraldton on the 21st, Manitouwadge on the 22nd, Schreiber on the 23rd, and in Marathon on the 24th. One of Penner's reasons for meeting with the Liberal Party executive is to appeal for more suppor from the national organization so that he can do a more effective job of traveling around and meeting people in this 115,000 sq. mile riding. "As it now stands", said Mr. Penner, "the Liberal Party in Thunder Bay must depend on the individual support of Liberal Associations in each of the small towns in the Riding. The Community Associations in turn depend almost entirely on membership sales at one or two dollars each. Membership has been growing | | fe] 3] S33] do} 4] iS] >[v] 3] 11S} ro IN| MEST ST [7 [3[ 3] HEE EMBs Me iM) S| 1 Se] SH] 1] S| iS] ]VIO|S M9] fal sieig S| NBS ol [| BEEDRDE BEVee {SSI v= [0| Sy] Fo] 2 DOE BEEBE ES 3/2 [0]S S|] | OMES|v) TT S| WiC ME VW vNio[ a) H]>| + {Slo S|S[[SI a) SOLUTION Mohamme- dan commander -Rants -Artificial language -Printer's measure Roman bronze -Coagulate -Leading men in plays -Adhesive substance -Doctrine -Blemish -Winged -lreland -Paths -Stage whisper -Storage pits -Prepares for print -Puff up -Reverbera. tion ACROSS 4. "For too long," Mr. Penner concluded, " the smaller towns of Northwestern Ontario have been dominated by members from outside our riding. If elected | would act immediately to make representa- tion more effective for the individual towns by arran ging direct telephone contact and by utilizing what- ever government air service exists to travel through- out the riding. During this election, | hope to make maximum the number of personal contacts with people in their own communities, rather than depending on the one-way communication of radio and T.V." "Effective Representation" in fact will be the theme of Mr. Penner's campaign. Mr. Penner has been very effective in bringing a number of import- ant contributions to Dryden, through his work as Member of the Town Council, Chairman of the profi table Dryden Telephone Commission, Chairman of the Centennial Committee and President of the Kins- men Club, and he believes his experience in these activities should be of great assistance in helping him, if successful on June 25th, to be a more effec- tive M.P. enlace as nse Na Political News Releases such as the above, are printed as a courtesy to all parties concerned.
