Mrs. Bob Winters has returned from Carlton where she visited with Mr. and Mrs. Vic: Hannom. On Saturday, May 14th, the United Nations Pil- grimage committee meets , and the Rebekah degree will be confered on candidates on' May 22. Mrs. Matilda MacDonald P.A.P. and Mrs. Miriam Ne- viski D.D.P. and their guests will be present. De- gree practice will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at "7.30 in the Lodge Room. Nominations for the elec- tion of officers will be heard at the regular meeting on May 22. ROSSPORT Mr. and Mrs. W. Angrove of Fort William arrived this week at their summer cottage here. Lorne Molinski is a patient in a Winnipeg hospital Philip Foisey and Keith Dunne were Nipigon visitors on the weekend. Mrs. C .W. Todesco has arrived home from St. Joseph's Hospital in Port Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lowe have arrived at the ~ Forestry Base, Pays Plat. Mr. Lowe is the pilot for the Dept. of Lands and Forests. Wednesday evening marked the climax of the Five} Hundred Card Club's activities for the season when the members met at Mrs. Ibeys for their wind-up party. Six games were played of five hundred with four prizes offered. First prize was won by Mrs. Fugene Gerow, second - Mrs. Rertha Lif, third - Mrs. Hattie Yandon and consolation prize went to Mrs. Fdith Ibey. Interesting and hilarious contests were run off with prizes won by Mrs. Joyce Yandon Miss Patsey Gerow, Mrs. Hattie Yandon and Mrs. Prina Gerow. A cold cut and salad luncheon was enjoyed by all. Mrs. B. Lespinski hosted the St. Berch- man's Altar Society members Thursday evening at her new home in Terrace Bay, for the annual meet- ing. Following prayers for world peace, the corres- pondence and minutes were read. The financial report was approved. The auditing of same will be prepared for the next meeting (Cont'd on page 13)
