Those in charge of arrangements were Mesdames Bea Williams, Helen Pelto, Marg Santerre, Wynn McKechnie, and Rosemary Thorpe. The Ladies High for bridge was won by Mrs. Isabel Marsh and low went to Mrs. | orraine Desaulniers. The Men's High was won by Mr. Ed Cavanaugh, and the low by Mr. Hugh Boudreau. 'kk & Fk RR KK KE RK KKK EK NAVY LEAGUE NEWS Navy League Week takes place from April 29 till May 5th, remembrance of the Battle of Atlantic Sunday. President of the Terrace Bay branch, Mrs, Winni- fred McKechnie, attended the 50th annual meeting of the Navy League of Canada, Ontario Division, on April 20th, in Toronto. The meeting was held in the Park Plaza Hotel, Toronto. At a banquet held in the Park Plaza, at the head table were Premier Robarts of Ontario, an attache from the Russian Embassy, a representative from the President of the United States, among other dignitaries. TERRACE BAY NEWS LEGION AUXILIARY MEETS FOR SALE: 2 Continental Beds While not winning National Honours, but placing well up in the National race, the Navy League Wrenette Corps of Terrace Bay received the top Divisional Award for wrenettes. The Corps} was organized in 1966. The annual Widdicks Memorial Trophy, donated last year for the most efficient N.L. Wrenette Corps was this year won by the Terrace Bay Wrenette Corps, Princess Royal. Mrs. McKechnie accepted the trophy on behalf of the Corps. The Sea Cadet Corps in Terrace Bay is an active group, with a growing band. They are on display each year at the Cenotaph, for Remembrance Day services, as well as other functions around town. The fficers for the Sea Cadet Corps are J. Cumming, C.O.; G. McKay, Ex.O.; A. McKechnie, D.O.; Reverend T.G. Husser, Padre; H. Hamilton, $.O.; W. Kubjida, Sea Cadet Chairman. The Home Bingo of March, proceeds of which will go toward buying a T.V. set for the hospital, was won by H. Strugouski, Mrs. C. Brant, Mrs. H. Sammann and J. Rochon. An invitation was extended from the Schreiber Auxiliary to join them in celebrating their birth- day on Saturday May IIth.
