Covenors for the occasion were Mrs. D. Desrosiers and Mrs. W. Randa. Busy little Brownies helped at the Candy Table, where there seemed to be much activity during the after- noon. The Guides, under the supervision of their leaders, were in charge of the Bake Table and the serving of tea and cakes at the tables. We are grate ful to these girls who worked so hard during the af- fernaon. Two beautifully decorated cakes were don- ated as door prize. A yellow Easter Bunny baked by Mrs. A. Boutillier was won by Mrs. G. Caron and a lovely Easter basket complete with eggs, baked by Mrs. H. Milks, was won by Mrs. P. Jones A vote of thanks goes to the ladies who poured during the afternoon - Mrs. C. Sitch, Mrs. A. Farrow, Mrs. J. Brooks and Mrs. R. Middaugh. Heikkila Worship Service - first Sunday each month at 7 p.m. With lights dimmed and a spotlight shinning, the Terrace Bay High School Auditorium was transformed into a moonlit scene for the Brownie Fly-Up on Tuesday, April 9th. An archway, beautifully dec- orated with flowers and elves, represented the Gate way to Guides, through which the Brownies passed along a golden path. Five Golden Hand Brownies were presented with their Wings by Mrs. G. Caron, District Commissioner. The girls were received into the Ist Terrace Bay Guide Co. by Mrs. P. Jones, Captain, who led the Guides in a welcoming song. Those receiving their Brownie Wings were, Pack 1 - Sharon Bougie Pack 2 - Joanne Rajotte and Valerie Szpak, Debbie St. Louis Pack 3 - Georgina Caldwell Following the Fly-Up Ceremony, 'the Brownies joined the Guides Campfire for a lively singsong. Visiting mothers and friends, Mrs. C. Bougie, Mrs. J. St. Louis, Mrs. L. Rajotte, Mrs. D. Caldwell, Mrs. C. Mercier and Miss Greer. During the even- ing, several presentations were made - Adele Des- rosiers, winner of the "Name the Column" contest and Maureen MacDonald, who is leaving town.
