Jan Hall offered to audit the club books and pro- cure her own help. Marie Edmunds resigned as Tournament Chairman, as her family moves to Brant- - ford shortly. We wish them happiness in their new home and low scores on the golf course. The date for the General Meeting is Tuesday, May 7. The time and place is to be set at a later date. RRS (ce SS ae a RE Re ae ie The afternoon group of the Community Church Ladies Auxiliary held their meeting on Monday at 1.45 p.m., opening with the singing of "Near the Cross", led by Jean Roberts on the piano. Helen Brooks took the worship period, after which Mrs. Lois McCausland welcomed all the ladies present. Mrs. Harris read the minutes and 13 Treasurer's re- port. The Maple Syrup has arrived and will be delivered this week. Members discussed having more missionary project and showing of films in the future. At the main meeting, clothing, appliances, etc. will be packed for the crippled civilians. All kinds of magazines will be accepted and packed for the Seaman's Mission in the Lakehead. RRS RECREATION BRIEFS - by David Courtemanche Badminton Club - Because of the Terrace Bay Band Concert on Thursday, April 25th, being held in the High School Auditorium, the Thursday night session of Badminton for that week has been cancelled, and will be held on Tuesday evening instead, April 23, at 8.15 p.m. Our playoffs will be coming up short- ly, so it is important that Badminton players attend as many practises as possible, so be sure to turn out on Monday and Tuesday nights of that week. NOTICE TO ALL BADMINTON CLUB MEMBERS The North Shore Badminton Annual Tournament is being held in Red Rock on Sunday, April 28th. All entries must be in at the next Badminton session. The Marathon team consisted of P. Joseph, G. Joseph, L. Nut- Brown,B. Stevens, D. Amadao and E. Manuel took first place with a total pinfall for 4 games of 4635. 2nd place was won by a Terrace Bay team of B. Moon Sr., M. Edmunds, P. Moon, J. Hall, P. Busso and L.
