Goal scorers for the Jets were K. Hanley, C. Simmer, B. Brend and J. Corrigan and for the Flyers, B. Shritt; D. Gresdal, and T. Desaul-' | niers. On Saturday, April 6th, the Jets took a 1 'game lead in the best of three finals, by de- feating the Comets 6 - 2. Scoring for the Jets were B. Brend (2), C. Simmer (2), L. Legault jn and R. Hamilton. Goal-scorers for the Comets ter were J. Ojavee and S. Greenwood. The second game of this series is scheduled 'for Tuesday, April 9th at 7.30 p.m. Come on Je out and cheer the kids on! CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE ELECTS OFFICERS At the regular monthly meeting of St. Martins Parish Council of the C.W.L., on Monday, April 8th, at 8 p.m., President, Mrs. H. Boudreau open- ed with the league prayer, followed by a reading of reports. Among the reports read was a poem entitled "A Womans Prayer", by Spiritual Convenor Mrs. G. Ramsay. The monthly meeting was adjourned: and the annual meeting was opened with a reading of the Annual Report by Mrs. H. Boudreau, covering all activities of the past year. Then, each convenor read a report and touched on the highlights of her activities during 1967. The meeting was turned over to the Nominating Committee, chaired by Mrs. A. "Allen and the election of the new slate of officers took place, with a warm welcome extended to them. Director - Rev. A.P. Marris, President - Mrs. W. Corrigan, Ist-Vice - Mrs. A. Regis, 2nd-Vice-Mrs. L. McBride, 3rd-Vice-Mrs. R. Fournier, Secretary- Mrs. W. Pytyck, Treas. - Mrs. D. Kenny, Past - President - Mrs. H. Boudreau. Mrs. R. Boyle and Mrs. R. Sinotte served a delicious lunch following.
