Staff Officer of St. John Ambulance, presented junior First Aid Badges to the following scouts at a ceremony in their town hall club: Roger Tremblay, Kirk Fischer, Danny Glad, Douglas Glad, Terry Keating, David LeBlanc Kenny Nesbitt, Bill Souliere and Morris Zaporzan. Intermediate Badges were presented to Lorne Bourke, Marc Tremblay, Carson Fischer, Charles Hill, John LeBlanc, Michael McGuire, Lawrence Madge, Joseph Maronexe, Douglas Reynolds, James Collinson, Terry Glad, and Allan Turner. Minutes and treasurer's report were given by Mrs. Lil Harris, and accepted as read. Correspondence included a letter from the C. P., and T. Committee, thanking the Auxiliary for their support for a burned-out family. The Cancer Socie- ty thanked the ladies for a donation. The Christmas Card program has been shelved indefinitely. Mrs. Donna Broadhurst, President of the Evening group, spoke on the plans for the coming year. Mrs. McCausland introduced Mr. Bill Jones, who gave an outline of the project for painting the Church. It is to be hoped that the outside might be taken care of by volunteer labor, and Mr. Jones asked the ladies to supply coffee to the volunteers, after each painting session. The inside painting will be done professionally. A donation was made to the Board toward the paint. Rev. Tanner will visit in June, and Mrs. Jones has requested that anyone having stamps will turn them in to her before June Ist. Mrs. Jones collects Canadian stamps, which are sold and the money turned over to a Leper Colony Fund. The April meeting will take the form of a house- cleaning of the cupboards and checking of supplies. April 5,6 and 7th - Terrace Bay- Men's Curling Club Bonspiel Friday, April 19th - Horticultural Society Annual Meeting - 8 p.m. April 19th - High School Variety Night -- April 19,20 and 21st - Proposed Ontario Municipal Recreation Association conference. Minor Hockey League Night The big night is this Friday, March 29th, starting at 6.00 p.m. Minor Hockey will attempt to include every Minor Hockey player in town in this event.
