In the 3rd period, 2 goals by D. Edmunds and one by M. Dashewytch gave Terrace Bay the victory. After a two hour break, Testoce Bay met Red Rock in the final game and were behind 3 - 2 at, the end of the 2nd period. In the third period D. Edmunds scored twice, bringing his total to 6 goals for the day, and Terrace Bay won 4 - 3. Only two minor penalties were picked up by the Terrace Bay team during the entire series. Books provided until n Phone 3747 days o TERRACE BAY NEWS > PAGE 17 SCHREIBER HOCKEY = Cont'd from page 18 The fifth game in the Northwestern Ontario Junior Hockey League Finals was played in Red ~ Rock Sunday, March 17, and although all good Irishmen were sporting the green, the traditional luck of the Irish failed to rub off on the Schreiber Northstars as they went down to a 6 - 5 overtime defeat to the Nip-Rock Rangers. Rangers have now taken the lead in their playoff series by a 3-2 margin. The next game is slated for Schreiber, Tuesday, March 19 at 8 p.m. The Rangers were led by the four goal performance of Alec Dampier: with singles going to Celinski and the Winning goal to Marcel Boudreau. For Schreiber, Butch Speziale and Cos Commisso each scored twice and Bill Webb picked up a single. Schreiber coach Norman Boon, former defence- man of the Port Arthur (junior) North Stars, and Webb, captain of Schreiber were given game mis- conducts when they were involved in throwing st ° sticks on the ice at the conclusion of the game. In Bantan Playoff action, the Schreiber Bantans travelled to Manitouwadge over the weekend for the Zone Championship, and although Schreiber won the first game by a 3 - 1 count led by Bill Hiller with 2 goals and Curtis Martin with one, the Sunday game had Manitouwadge emerging with a 3 - 0 victory and winning the North Shore Cham pionship with an overall goal total of 4-3.
