REHEKAH NEWS - by your Rebekah Reporter Many items of interest to members of Ruby Rebekah Lodge, No.279, since your tardy reporter's last communication. On Jan.24th the Lodge held its regular meeting with N.G.Jean Fisher and V.N.G.Glorie Miller presiding. Routine business was attended to and degree practice followed with gaps in the lines due to absenteeism. It was decided that a full rehearse of the degree team will be held following the meeting on Feb. 14th. Please make an effort to attend. Time is growing short The Initiatory Degree will be performed on February 20th. if you have any part in this important aspect of lodge work, be sure to get out to practise. Following practice a Social Hour will be held with a pot-luck lunch. Bring your donation of sandwiches or sweets. Members not active in degree prac- tise will be able to have a snappy game of cards while the rest of us work (?) diligently. At the regular meeting on Jan.10th it was decided to pro- vide luncheon in July for a bus load of students on the yearly excursion to the United Nations Pilgrimage. Just a little late but here's a review of the Christmas Party held on December 13th, 1967. Members enjoyed a Carol Sing, an exciting waltz step performed by sisters Bern Whent, Florence Whent, Beth McAdam, Nettie Thrower, Vic Win- ters - to a jaunty polka rythm. P.D.D.P.
