Elections took place, with | Mrs. Lois McCausland taking the position of Chair-_ man, Vice-chairman June Schritt, and Secretary- Treasurer, Lil Harris. Each lady donated a dollar to the Paint the Church Fund. Ladies are asked to bring Canada Packer Labels to the next meeting. Collection of used articles and clothing for the Crippled Civilians will take place in the spring. Clara Gould Reeve W.E. Cavanaugh received a delightful sur- prise on Monday, January 22, when he was awarded a Centennial Medal and a Citation from secretary of State, Judy LaMarsh. Unknown by Mr. Cavanaugh, his name had been submitted by Council, as an out- standing citizen of our community. The citation reads: On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, this Centennial Medal is conferred on Reeve William Edward Cavanaugh, in recognition of valuable servicg to the nation. 'Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Yvonne Vienneau of Terrace Bay, who received word Sunday of the death of her sister, Mrs. Laura Robichaud, in The afternoon group of the Ladies Auxiliary met on} Cleveland, Tenn. Monday afternoon 'in the Church basement, for a deli cious Pot Luck Luncheon. The ladies brought a var- ied and wonderful array of foods, to tempt the appe- tite,, Rev.
