COMMUNITY CHURCH ANNUAL MEETING The Community Church of Terrace Bay held their annual meeting Sunday night, and looked back on 1967 as a very successful year. Financially, funds were oversubscribed, and there was a notable in- crease in the numbers of people in the congregation Frank Anderson, Chairman of the Board of Stew- ards was called upon by Rev. Husser to open the meeting. Mr. Anderson greeted all those who had come to the meeting, and stated that he had enjoyed being the Chairman for the past year, and pledged his support to the in-coming board. Minutes were read by Mrs. Vida Laporte, secre- tary, and approved as read. In the report of the Chairman of the Official Board, Mr. Anderson ex- shortened annual report, mailed to each one, and that they could peruse the report in full, in the Church Library, at their own convenience. He thanked Mrs. Charlotte Slomke for the excell- ent work she has done on the Church Archives, and also thanked Mrs. Helen Farrell and Mr. Axel Berndtsson for their work on the monthly Church Bulletin. Some of the Highlights of 1967 were: the Church Archives, renewal of the Junior Choir under the direction of Mr. Bert Lohr, purchasing of new Hymn and Prayer Books as a Centennial Project, and the Centennial Pot Luck Supper, which had been a great success. He mentioned three other areas as projects for 1968 - re-organizing the Senior Sunday School, Senior Choir, and a Paint-the-Church Fund. Mr. Anderson thanked everyone who had given their time and help, during his term of office. He stated that he felt it a privilege to be able to work in the Church as Chairman of the Board. He also voted a word of appreciation to Mr. Husser, who has done an excellent job in all respects. The Chairman's report was accepted. (Cont'd on pege 4)
