Lavender, the first min- ister to be called to the Community Church. Dr. Lavender mentioned some amusing anecdotes that took place during his pastorate here . Mrs. Ferrier showed some interesting slides, begin- ning with early days of the Church, taken from the Archives, being arranged by Mrs. C.Slomke. A Hi- C group presented a short service, representing.the Church of the future. The Junior Choir under the leadership of Bett Lohr, with Mrs. Lohr at the piano, led in the singing. Wendy McMillan and Graham Coe led the worship period. Rev. Husser pronounced the benediction. Preceding the supper, antiques were displayed in the Church library.
