Page 8 _ TERRACE BAY NEWS October 12, 1967 Fire Prevention Week October 8--14 | Fire prevention is everybody's business, every week of the year. Accepting and acting on this fact is the most important message of Fire Prevention Week. It is more than apalling, that in spite of all that is said and done by way of warning, and in spite of all the loss in life and property that is presented all throughout the year, the menace and penalty of fire continues to grow in this country. Fatal fires are not accidents, they happen when small children are left alone in a home, when someone dozes off to sleep with a lighted cigarette in hand; or because of accumulated rubbish in cellars and attics. It is the simple things like these that cause the tragedies of fire again and again. view tgite st a lesa gsi 4 babii Sf Pgs a a japan he wing Terrace Bay Fire Department
