The Afternoon Group of the Ladies Auxiliary will meet September |8 at 1.45 p.m. Suzanne; Lemay is attending Cambrian College in Sault Ste.. Marie. The Evening Group of the Community Church Ladies Auxiliary met Wednesday, September 6. A short business meeting was held, financial aid to be given to Mrs. Charlotte Slomke to enable her , as a Centennial project, to display the Community Church archives on which she has been working. Mrs. Lois Hopper has consented to be over all convenor for the Christmas bazaar and tea. Every- one is encouraged to start working on projects now. Ideas are welcome. Church cook books are still available. Worship period was conducted by Mrs. JuneSchritt and Mrs. Gill Whiteley with emphasis on discipline. To tie in with the worship, two guest speakers, Mr. Lohr and Mrs. Brooks spoke on the need for leaders, or teachers in our Sunday and midweek groups. Mr. Lohr, as superintendent of Sunday School stated that a teacher's course is available for any interested persons. The need for parent co- operation in taking their children to church and coming along also , was pointed out. ( continued on Page 4) On September 22 - 23 - 24 John Watson, well known Toronto artist will be in Terrace Bay to con- duct a course in landscape painting. Mr. Watson is no stranger to Terrace Bay, having conducted several successful courses here in the past. To avoid overcrowding ,the number accepted for the course will be limited. Registration deadline is September I6th. One may register at the regular Art Club session on Thursday, September |4th, or by contacting Club President, Mrs. J. Ferguson. Mr ..& Mrs. W.
