Morrill PARK DEDICATED IN ROSSPORT It was a perfect picnic day last Sunday - the day chosen to dedicate Rossport's new park on the shores of Lake Superior. Though not quite completed the site has tremend- ous possibilities situated as it is on a sheltered part of Lake Superior where the shallow water lends itself to an ideal bathing area. On tond for the occasion were district and out of town dignitaries, entire familes who had chosen to make a picnic ;day of the event and interested tourists . Under the chairmanship of Toi Seppala many Rossport citizens were kept busy handing out Free treats to the children, running various games and supervising . The big $1,000. Rossport Derby Draw was won by P. Dayon of White River. The winning ticket was sold by Mrs. Geo. Martin of Fort William who received $100. Master of Ceremonies for the occasion was Mr. R.T. Kenney. On the platform were Gino Caccamo and Jack Phillips representing Schreiber, Geo, O'Neil representing Nipigon ( see Page 14)
