Pudge & Gladys Hemilton. A disabling injury which occurred on April 2 brought to a halt the mill's safe day record at 75 days. However, the mill safety objective for 1967 can be attained and someone can still win the portable colour TV set when 100 safe days of operation are achieved. Silver dollar winners last week were: Bill Madge, Joe Mousseau, Ivan Mand- ziuk, Vic Costa and Cliff Daley. Did you ever stop to think that despite all the achievement of man in our industrial society that the one thing we have not been able to eliminate is accidents resulting in injuries. Accidents cost our nation millions of dollars of each year for which you and | and everyone as taxpayers must pay. Yet it need not be so - if we would all make safety a part of everything we do. Remember this week's safety slogan: SAFETY IS FREE - ACCIDENT ARE EXPENSIVE.
