Mrs. Gladys Madigan was commentator at the Anglican Hat Show when 140 designs for spring and summer were displayed by models: Mesdames Collee Glad, Alice Sparkes, Marj. Morrill, Doris Krause, Donna Sakaleek (Terrace Bay), and Miss Sandy Dennison. ' Mrs. Jack Corbett, attired in a Centennial gown, sold scarves, bags and other accessories. The audience, seated at small tables, were served tea and cakes by Misses Dorothy and Susan Harrison, Anne Bailey and Linda Lidkea. Kitchen Committee - were Mesdames Edith Birch, Irma Armstrong, Vi Rigelsford, Jackie Turner and Jean Tremblay. Mrs. Hazel Bailey assisted the models and Mrs. Ruth Collinson was cashier. There were two showings, both on Friday. DELEGATES NAMED BY REBEKAH LODGE Mrs. Mary Chadwell of Greenst one Lodge *86was welcomed as visitor at the Ruby Rebekah Lodge meet- ing when Mrs. Bern Whent, N.G. and Mrs. Jean Fisher V.G. presided. In her report Mrs. Fisher noted that members Mrs. Earline Johnson and Mrs. Claire Madge are both in hospital . Mrs. Doris Condie gave the semi-annual report of the property committee. Mrs. Helen Wallace for the Youth Pilgrimage committee reported on funds being raised and Mrs. Lorraine Fadden reported plans being made for carn- | ival sponsored by the Ice Fund committee. A dona- tion of $30. was made to assist with the arrangements. A $5.00 donation was made to the Diabetic Assoc- iation. Mrs. Mary Husband and Mrs. Jessie McCanng a Photo by Inez McCucig Charles (Chuck) Hill, the first boy in Schreiber to receive this award, was recipient of a Cub Instructor's Badge, presented by Mrs. Doris Gauthier, at the cub meeting this week. To be entitled to the badge the scout must attend 15 consecutive meetings of the cub pack, participate in three pack rambles, and plan and lead_a meeting. _ (continued from Colum 1) were named representatives to the district associa- tion for the coming term. Mrs. Gladys Madigan, convenor for the Centennial Spring Tea asked members to wear Centennial Gowns and hats for the occasion. The anniversary of Schuyler Colfax, founder of the Rebekah Degree, was observed. Mrs. Jessie McCanna was named representative to the Rebekah Assembly in Toronto with Mrs. Mavis Slater as alternate, and Mrs. Mary Husband as Scholar . Initiation will be held at the next meeting on April 12, to start at 7.30 instead of 8 p.m. Follow ing the meeting degree practise was held, penny auction played and lunch served by Mrs. Ilene Williamson's committee . _Schreiber was host to the round-robin pla yed by PeeWee teams from here, Terrace Bay, Nipigon and Red Rock in a western zone, North Shore play-off. Red Rock came out on top, win ning all their games, with the others ending in a tie for second place, eac with one win and two losses. Red Rock now goes on to Wawa for the eastern zone finals.
